- New Life Square
This modern complex replaced the prior home of the emergency shelter which was in service since 1940. New Life Square holds the Good Neighbor Café, Men's Shelter, Challenge Learning Center, & the New Life Program (drug treatment & Christian counseling).

Provides a safe and warm place where single homeless men are clothed and sheltered and provided medical care. Legal services are availble, as well as community resources. 70 men are able to sleep here every night. The facility is monitored for security.
- New Life Program
The New Life Program accommodates a combination of 40 men and women who want to make the transition to a more self-sufficient lifestyle dependant on Jesus Christ and free from alcohol/drug addictions.
- Food Service
The Good Neighbor Cafe offers free, healthy and well-balanced meals 365 days a year. Breakfast and dinner meals are provided for all low-income and homeless individuals in the community--both residents and non-residents of the Mission. The Mission also contracts with outside agencies to provide meals to their clients.
- Challenge Learning Services
Challenge Learning Services is an adult basic education program supported and run by the Tacoma Rescue Mission. The program operates from New Life Square.
- Family Shelter
The Family Shelter is a 71 bed facility providing emergency housing for families and single women. Our Family Life Café feeds three meals a day plus evening snacks in a cheerful and warm dining atmosphere.
- Jefferson Square
Jefferson Square is a 42 unit Single Room Occupancy (SRO) studio apartment building serving low-income, special needs population, who are willing to remain drug and alcohol free. Service needs are met through case management in cooperation with several other agencies.
- Tyler Square
Tyler Square serves twenty-seven families enrolled in the Family Life Program who want to make the transition to permanent housing, eventually resulting in a permanent solution to homelessness.
- Adams Square
Adams Square Family Center will offer homeless families an opportunity to build a strong family unit in a stable, safe, secure, structured and nurturing environment.
The objective is to end homelessness for each family served. - Jail Ministry
The Correction Bureau Chaplaincy provides spiritual and personal growth enhancement opportunities to inmates of all persuasions. We act as a bridge between inmates and the community; family, religious leaders and the professional field. We also desire to provide, to any inmate, the spiritual and motivational foundation to re-enter the community with positive behavior.
- Youth Program
Our Mission is to foster a safe environment that empowers all kids to grow academically, socially, and spiritually through the love of Jesus Christ.
- Colonial Square
Colonial Square is a 44-unit apartment building serving people in the Tacoma area, whose income does not exceed 50% of Pierce County’s median income.
