Thank you for helping men and women in recovery reach new heights!

Tacoma Rescue Mission’sCLIMB TEAM

The Tacoma Rescue Mission’s Climb Team is a program focused on personal challenge, team support and healthy living. The Climb Team community is centered around supporting men and women in the Tacoma Rescue Mission’s New Life Program in their sobriety.

The program consists of three key elements:

  • Weekly workouts
  • Monthly training hikes, once or twice a month (These hikes increase in level of difficulty and technical skill over time).
  • Culminating “big” climbs and hikes (Past peaks have included Mt. Baker, Mt. Adams and Mt. St. Helens).

Throughout all of this, our dedicated Climb Team volunteers share their experience with outdoor recreation and sober living to help recovery program participants learn new skills and reach new heights. We learn to trust ourselves and each other – and we have a lot of fun along the way!
