Escaping homelessness
starts with food & shelter. . . But it doesn’t stop there
“Knowing I had a place to stay and food available is honestly what got me through. But, what I received beyond that, in the Mission’s recovery program, is what saved my life,” Ryan emotionally shares.
For many others like Ryan, the meals and shelter generous friends like you make possible are often a vital first step. Our neighbors in need then have crucial opportunity to connect with life-changing services and holistic care. That’s when lasting stability, restoration and transformation truly happens.
“The Mission has done more for me than I ever thought possible. First and foremost, I found my faith again. For that alone, I could never pay them back. They don’t tell you how to life a good life. They show you how to recognize it yourself and make plans to continue living a better life,” Ryan shares gratefully.
Ryan now has a job and is working to restore family relationships. He’s moving forward in his life, has a bright future, and is healing – emotionally, physically and spiritually. He even hopes to eventually come on staff at the Mission to help others experience real, lasting transformation.
Today, you can play a vital role in the stories of so many others who are still experiencing homelessness and hurt. Desperate for an opportunity to change their life and step into a better future.

DP&C isn’t your typical accounting firm. For one thing, our mission isn’t to win more business; it’s to help our clients succeed in theirs. Gateway Communications was formed in 1992 with a mission to provide small to mid-sized organizations with the kind of outstanding quality, responsiveness and cost-conscious marketing capabilities that the nation’s largest organizations enjoy. Now nearly 30 years later, that commitment has helped Gateway Communications become a trusted marketing partner to organizations and agencies, specializing in quality print and mail services. We take tremendous satisfaction that, despite our growth over the years, we still have the privilege of serving each of the organizations that we began with during our first two years of operation.

Alma Mater is a space to celebrate, nurture, and evolve with the Tacoma Community through food, performance, work, education, and social exchange. The idea for a building that encompassed an incubator for artists, areas to perform and display their work, and an economical engine to support them was activated by Jason Heminger’s own creative journey after a three-year stint in Colorado working in education. In the summer of 2015, Jason brough on long-time friends and like-minded thinkers Aaron Spiro and Rachel Ervin to help develop his vision into a concrete plan. Since then, the Alma Mater team has received generous investment, support, and excitement for what’s to come.

Since 2005, Triniti Media has traveled across the country and around the globe capturing and creating visuals from Tacoma to Hong Kong to Uganda. Their work has appeared on TV, in film festivals, even in a book you can buy at Costco! Not to mention the countless websites, tradeshows, and fundraising events. While working in the video world is fun in that it’s a creative outlet and they get to work with cool toys, the most rewarding part of Triniti Media’s work is partnering with organizations and helping tell their story. It’s truly a privilege that they don’t take lightly.
