DESCRIPTION:We are calling on the community to come together in an extraordinary act of compassion and care. With over 100\,000 Pierce County residents recently losing government food assistance\, the need for meals and support has never been greater. \nTo meet this growing challenge\, we are hosting a massive community Thanksgiving dinner at the Tacoma Dome\, aiming to serve more than 1\,000 individuals and families who are struggling during this season of gratitude. \nMany generous community organizations and individuals have already stepped up by donating food and helping cover the costs to feed our hungry neighbors. Their compassion is making a real difference. However\, food insecurity and hunger challenges are expected to continue throughout the holiday season\, and we need your help to keep meeting this critical need. \nThis is more than a meal\, it’s an opportunity to restore hope and dignity for our neighbors in need. Together\, we can make Thanksgiving a day of warmth\, community\, and gratitude. \nWe also want to highlight and share our overwhelming gratitude with the Tacoma Dome for offering their space at no cost to make this community meal possible. \nEvent Details:  \nWhen: Thursday\, November 27\, 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm \nWhere: Tacoma Dome: 2727 E D St.\, Tacoma\, WA 98421 \nTransportation: \nYou can walk\, drive\, or shuttle to the Tacoma Dome. \n\nA shuttle will be running from Tacoma Rescue Mission’s Downtown Campus (425 S Tacoma Way) to the Tacoma Dome from 3pm – 6pm.\nParking will be available for anyone who is driving.\n\nProhibited items: \n\nNo animals are allowed in the Tacoma Dome except certified service animals.\nNo weapons of any kind allowed on the property.\nAll bags will be searched upon entry.\n\nIf you do not want your bags searched or have prohibited items\, you can drop off your bags at our secure “Bag Drop” area at the Tacoma Dome entrance to be picked up after your meal. There will be a heated\, covered area outside the Tacoma Dome entrance with limited seating and to-go Thanksgiving meals for anyone who would prefer to not enter the Tacoma Dome or who have animals that are not allowed inside.  \nAll Thanksgiving volunteer shifts are filled! DESCRIPTION:Excited to see the return of the Serving with Dignity tournament supporting the Tacoma Rescue Mission. We provide life-changing resources to our neighbors experiencing homelessness in Pierce County. Check us out at https://www.trm.org/\n\nFun Round Robin format to give you lots of games.\n\nSkill levels: Recreational Play (2.5/3.0)\, Intermediate Play (3.5)\, and Advanced Play (4.0+) for gender-neutral teams (partner with either gender). Specific events of similar skills to be determined following the close of registration. If registration numbers allow\, we will break each event into age events (similar to under 50 and 50+)\n\n*** Ratings:\n• Even though DUPR is the only rating listed for public view\, we are using DUPR only as a guideline. All rating systems have their pros and cons. Players will self-rate and we will also be using your previous tournament rating (PBR) as our determinant\n• Please update your self-rating in your software profile before you register. You may only play up .5 from your self-rating\n• If you feel that a player is playing out of their skill\, please contact the tournament director. We will then evaluate tournament history and various ratings (including DUPR) to determine if a player/team needs to play at a different skill. Please be aware that this is a manual process and does not happen automatically\n\nScores will NOT be reported to DUPR\n\nTournament Director may combine brackets as needed to ensure quality play.\n\nREGISTER HERE\n\n$50 registration fee per player (price changes to $65 on 5/16)
